TLCF Scholarship Guidelines
1. Application for a T.L.C.F. Memorial Scholarship is open to any graduating senior of any High School in Minnesota who is going to continue his or her education in any of these fields:
a. Emergency Medical Technology (EMT / Paramedic)
b. Nursing (2 or 4 year degree programs)
c. Fire Science / Firefighting
2. Scholarships in the amount of not less than $100 and not more than $500, as determined by the TLCF Board of Directors and available funds, will be awarded annually.
3. All completed applications and recommendation forms must be returned to the Foundation Office on or before March 10, 2008.

Please include with your application and recommendation letters a copy of your acceptance letter into the college and/or program that you will plan to enter in the fall of 2008,
4. Upon receipt of the applications and recommendation forms, the Board of Directors of TLCF, Inc. will review applicants. If deemed necessary, interviews for finalists may follow. After which the TLCF Board will select scholarship recipient(s) and award the scholarship(s) amount.
5. Applicants will be judged on their commitment to service, desire to complete their education, desire to make a positive impact on community, and financial need.
6. The recipient(s) will receive half of the scholarship award at the recipient’s high school graduation ceremony, scholarship award banquet, or by mail, as determined by the TLCF Board of Directors.
7. After*successful completion of the first quarter or semester of the recipients' training program, the scholarship recipient must submit by mail (to the above address) a transcript to the TLCF Board of Directors for review.
8. Upon the receipt of the letter or statement identifying the recipients’ successful completion of the first quarter or semester of the training program, TLCF will make the remaining scholarship payment to the recipient.
